The dedication of members in blue from Rietgat Police Station in Soshanguve is proving that camaraderie is key in fighting the scourge of crime.
The police through various operations effected 51 arrests in the past week. These efforts paid dividends after the Detectives, members of visible policing as well as the community shared valuable information in arresting the perpetrators.
Suspects who were thrown behind bars were charged with offences including but not limited to: pointing of firearm, attempted murder, murder, grievous bodily harm, possession of drugs, common assault (domestic violence related) burglary at residential premises, business burglary, intimidation, possession of stolen motor vehicle, rape and armed robbery.
The Station Commander, Colonel Stephina Nkosi hailed praises at a sterling work members are doing. “Your work is commendable and i really appreciate the positive results. I would like to thank all the stakeholders involved in making sure that we live in a crime free community,” said Colonel Nkosi.
All the arrested suspects are expected to appear in the Soshanguve Magistrate Court.
